Town & Country Animal Clinic Services
All of the surgeries performed at Town & Country are performed in a clean surgical suite under sterile conditions using aseptic surgical techniques. All patients are evaluated prior to surgery including a general exam and pre-anesthetic blood work to asses organ function. During surgery your pet will receive the undisturbed attention of a licensed veterinarian and at least one trained veterinary assistant. Your pet will receive IV fluid therapy, supplemental oxygen, monitoring of vital signs (blood pressure temperature, heart rate). At Town & Country we preform 99% of our surgeries with a surgical CO2 laser instead of stainless steel scalpel blades. The benefits of a CO2 laser far surpass the traditional scalpel blade. Benefits include less bleeding, decreased time of healing and most important less pain. After surgery your pet will receive pain medication, continued monitoring, and fluid therapy. Although surgical problems are minimal we take great care and extra diligence in preventing any complications..Please refer to AAHA for a complete list of surgical recommendations.
At Town & Country Animal Clinic, we take care to provide our customers high quality services personalized for their pets unique needs. In order to ensure your pet will receive the highest quality of care while at our hospital Town & Country has elected to begin AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) certification at this time there are no certified hospitals in our region. To become AAHA certified we must enforce certain minimums, including pre surgical blood work, fluid therapy during and after surgery and advanced staff education.
We provide a variety of services including:
From time to time your favorite friend is going to become ill and as they age their immune systme and organ function are going to become weaker. However please do not let your pet go without seeing a veterinarian for even the smallest problem. Sometimes what you may think is a minor problem, vomiting diarrhea, and feeling poorly could actually be a major problem. All of our sick patients will have a general physical exam by a veterinarian. Based on the veterinarians opinion they will make further recommendations. Our hospital is equipped with modern medical equipment including blood machines, digital x-ray machines, digital video-scopes and ECG (Electrocardiograph) machines. However, not all tests can be performed in our office; when such an occasion occurs we will inform you.
