Preventative Health Care

We feel our primary responsibility is to provide your pet with quality preventive health care in order to allow your pet to live a long happy and healthy life. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as the saying goes, and it is a profundic thought indeed! Much of the care we provide to your pet is designed to prevent infectious disease, have early detection of metabolic disease, and provide routine medical procedures that will reduce the incidence of disease and provide population control. Pets age much more quickly than humans, thus requiring procedures and testing at ages that may seem rather young to us.

FELINE HEALTH CARE

Cats are recommended to have the following PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE

FELINE LEUKEMIA/FIV TEST
VACCINATIONS- feline distemper/rhino virus/calici virus, feline leukemia, rabies, feline infectious peritonitis
FECAL- to test for intestinal parasites
EXTERNAL PARASITE CONTROL- provided with products like revolution, frontline, advantage
HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE- provide with products like revolution, heartguard or interceptor
ANNUAL PHYSICAL EXAM
SPAYING / NEUTERING
LIFE STAGE NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
SENIOR / GERIATRIC HEALTH SCREENING- including such procedures as bloodwork, radiographs, urinalysis, electrocardiogram
